Two RTI aircraft accident investigation experts were able to repel to the wreckage and recover important physical evidence
A Bell 412 helicopter crashed in a remote region of the Andes. The wreckage had come to rest on a precipitous mountainside, some 3,500 feet above mean sea level.
Two RTI aircraft accident investigation experts were able to repel to the wreckage and recover important physical evidence, including the CVR, and thus to provide the client with a detailed flight path and proximate cause report, when no other investigating agency had been able to do so.
