In 2006, a fire broke out at a summer home on Cape Cod. A neighbor called 911 at 0200 and took a series of photos of the fire from 0219 to 0303. A lawsuit was filed by the owners of the house against the electric utility.
By analyzing historical family photographs along with the photos taken by the neighbor, RTI determined that our clients’ power lines were intact and functional at the time of the fire. The determination of an internal ignition scenario, along with the demonstrative exhibits, enabled the jury to reach a verdict for the defense.
