The physician is board-certified and specializes in pain management and anesthesiology. He currently serves as a Staff Attending Physician in Pain Management and Anesthesiology at UCLA in Los Angeles, California, and is also a Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME) and CEO of JV MD Inc. He holds active medical and DEA licenses in California.
He completed his fellowship in Interventional Pain Management at Mount Sinai West/Morningside in New York, following a residency in Anesthesiology at Mount Sinai Hospital. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Meharry Medical College and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from Binghamton University.
He is skilled in advanced pain management techniques, including spinal cord and peripheral nerve stimulation, epidurals, ultrasound-guided nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablation, PRP, Botox, and comprehensive anesthesia management. He is also experienced in medical-legal evaluations and proficient with electronic medical records systems.
