  • Carried out the Designated Engineering Authority role for Rolls-Royce on Trent 700/A330 Thrust Reverser i.e. primary point of contact with RR for all Engineering matters, ensured compliance to technical specification, ensured requirements of RR change control procedures were met, reviewed and approved all Engineering documents prior to submission to RR, ensured that the requirements of MRB approval were met and reviewed and approved all subsidiary signatories for Engineering and MRB. Furthermore, provided 24/7 engineering AOG cover.

  • Tasks included the continued airworthiness structural justification for disbonded composite carbon epoxy acoustic sandwich panels and the development of non-structural bolted repairs.

  • Additional tasks included the introduction / validation of a new honeycomb for the inner fixed structure composite carbon BMI sandwich acoustic panels i.e. honeycomb strength, bonding validation, fatigue and damage tolerance etc.

  • Tasks included the design of a monolithic one-piece composite carbon epoxy fan duct structure with integral forward firewall bulkhead.
